Seven Christmas songs that will (probably) rock your socks off

русская версия | english version
7 неожиданных рождественских композиций — для хорошей эмоциональной встряски

Ah, Christmas. It’s a time for family celebration and excessive amounts of nutrition but also a time where one’s ears are constantly assaulted by terrible Christmas songs. That last part we can try and do something about, as long as you stay inside and run through the list below, anyway.

Run Rudolph Run

An old Chuck Berry song performed by the legendary Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead, with Dave Grohl on the drums and Mr. ZZ Top himself, Billy Gibbons on guitar. Yes please. Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer is present only by name.

Mistress for Christmas

While not one of their best songs by a mile, a hard rocking tongue-in-cheek Christmas song by AC/DC is just what the doctor ordered. You can leave this one on repeat for a while.

Santa Claus is comin’ to town

Dialing back the heavy guitars for a little bit, you can’t beat Bruce Springsteen and a song with a title this Christmas-y.

Christmas in Hollis

Does anyone here remember the 1980s? Well if you don’t this music video by rappers Run DMC will show you what those times were like. As in, exactly like that. And it’s about Christmas too, so that’s a win-win.

Heavy Metal Christmas

As it turns out, even Twisted Sister made a Christmas song. Who knew! Of course, it rocks too. So here it is.

Frosty the snowman

As it turns out, even Twisted Sister made a Christmas song. Who knew! Of course, it rocks too. So here it is.

White Christmas

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. No, this song isn’t by Guns ‘n Roses, but by some unknown band pretending to be them. But it’s a great song and there’s literally no chance anyone will have heard of this one before so here you go. Sue me.
(Actually, please don’t)
